Start Part 1 - Download csv, Create Categories, Create Database
When you first log into STCtoCart you will see a table of the current settings. Most users will want to get started right away, so these settings can be ignored for now. To get started click Options > Manual Update, you will see various form buttons each with a specific function and order of precedence.
1. Download xxx.csv
2. Create Categories
3. Create Database
Those three buttons will get you started and need to be selected in order.
#1 downloads the data feed you selected during the install procedures. Once the feed has been downloaded it also puts that file into STCtoCart's csv table to increase the speed of adding that information into your Shopping Carts database.
#2 takes the information from the STCtoCart's csv table and creates the categories for your Shopping cart.
#3 creates the Shopping cart database using the existing categories created by the previous button.
The next step is to verify the above procedures are completed. Open your shopping cart with the "Cart" link in STCtoCart's navigation bar and you will see the categories that were created and the products in them. Now is the time to look closely at those categories and determine if you want to delete any category that you don't want to sell from. For example since catalogs can not be drop shipped you might want to ignore: "Catalogs Sales Tools & Promotion".
To delete any category and the products associated with them you need to click Home then the Ignore Categories or you can click Setup > Ignore Categories to go there directly. You enter the category you wish to delete from your shopping cart data base separated by comma. You then click Options > Manual Update and repeat button's Create Categories and Create Database.
Now your shopping cart doesn't have the category(s) you ignored and none of their products either.
Home > Product Reset = Fresh New Database SET is required to make any changes to your shopping cart's category structure.
